On the morning of October 10th the school held their annual club fair. The cafeteria’s tables were pushed into rows, booths were set, and the doors were swung open for the incoming flood of students. The atmosphere in the lunchroom was active as students chatted to one another, signed up for clubs. Throughout the fair, club representatives could be seen promoting their activity by shouting, singing and performing dances.
Nearly 60 clubs were present at the event and students from all grade levels were able to explore each club’s booth and learn more about each of the clubs that are offered at South High. Each year, clubs sign up to be present at the fair and create a poster promoting the club and detailing the activities in it. During the fair, at least one representative of the club is stationed by their poster, able to answer any inquiries and motivate students to sign up.
Overall, the club fair is an excellent opportunity for students to figure out how to get more involved in the school’s community, learn a new skill or hobby, or to make their applications look good for college.
