South High’s ASA had a very successful first Lunar New Year Festival last Thursday! Here is a statement from Dalton Le, President of the ASA:
South High ASA had its first ever Lunar New Years Festival through the consistent commitment and dedication of the council members. I want to emphasize that none of this would have been possible without the community at South, that is always willing to help at every turn. Whether its the teachers who let us borrow their materials, students who came early and decided to help set up, or just all of the attendees that created a diverse and inclusive environment!
I also want to thank all the vendors that were able to come out —GongCha, Mia Cane, Mochi Dough—and performers as well who put on amazing dances for everyone. Lastly, a big thank you to Chef Quy from Kyoto bar and grill for giving a helping hand to south high’s culinary team. I hope to see this become a tradition at South and we continue to celebrate Asian cultures.
