Hey Colonels! It’s official. South High’s annual homecoming dance is right around the corner, and this year, the theme is all about glowing–quite literally. As always, homecoming is all about making those unforgettable memories on and off the dance floor. It’s the hours of getting ready at your friend’s house and taking cute photobooth pics that fill the night with laughter and joy. But you can’t talk about homecoming without talking about the outfits. I mean how could you forget?
This year, some students have decided to shine big under the stars. As I got insight from different students all around the building, it looks like sparkly Windsor dresses and sharp suits will never go out of style. On the other hand, other students are confused on how to approach this theme. “Neon–that is such a hard theme to follow,” one girl commented. “I might just stick to wearing a black bodycon dress.” But don’t worry, it’s simpler than it seems. Finding the right outfit for homecoming should never be one of your hardest decisions. For one student, “you’re following the theme as long as it’s bold and pops out.”
Yet, for the rest, they are still navigating the virtual realms of online shopping, saving their carts with various options. “Maybe, I might wear a cute bubble dress. I don’t know,” one student says, smiling.
As the days of homecoming draws near, students are making sure that they have their own neon to light up their night. The pre-party jitters and anticipation gets real. It’s okay if you find yourself still stuck with what to wear. Just remember, keep it bright and dazzling!
We can’t wait to see South’s look this year. For our seniors, let’s make this last homecoming one for the books. For the rest of South High, this is also your chance to stand out and have fun. Don’t miss out.
