This year, the basketball season has been long and exciting, with numerous games happening throughout the months as the girls and boys basketball teams give their best effort. There have been a total of twenty matches combined since January, with more to expect this March. Unfortunately, due to the boy’s losing their last match, the season is over for them. However, this does not mean that they didn’t go down without a fight! The boy’s basketball team have won a whopping six out of eleven games and have shown the district South High’s undefeatable spirit.
As for the girls, they are still going strong! So far South High’s girls basketball team have been dominating the scene with a current win streak of seven and counting. They have won all but one of their past matches, keeping the fire South High School is known for alive and bright.

The girls are in the playoffs, and luckily for us, we do not have to wait long for another game! South High’s girls basketball team has a game against Pembroke on Wednesday, March 5th at 6:00 PM! Be sure to arrive at South to witness the greatness of the girls basketball team! If you see anyone on either of the basketball teams, make sure you give them a pat on the back! Both the boys and girls worked extremely hard this season, and continue to show everyone what South High is really about.
