New Year, New Music Taste?

This year, I am listening to many things. It honestly ranges each day, and how I am feeling that day. I also match my music to the weather. In the fall and winter it’s quieter and less intense music, but in the spring and summer it’s more energetic and “intense.” I like listening to mainly pop and indie, but sometimes it varies depending on who I’m with or what I’m doing. Three songs I would recommend are Oxygen by Catfish and the Bottlemen, On A Night Like Tonight by Niall Horan, and Fine Line by Harry Styles.

If you are looking for some new music to listen to this year, here are some suggestions from students here at South!

  1. Drew Barrymore by SZA
  2. Do Not Disturb by Drake
  3. Runner by Alex G
  4. Pink and White by Frank Ocean
  5. Heroes by David Bowie
  6. Waiting Room by Phoebe Bridgers
  7. Doin’ Time by Lana Del Rey
  8. Northern Attitude (ft. Hozier) by Noah Kahan
  9. Boston by Augustana
  10. Linger by The Cranberries
  11. All Falls Down by Kayne West
  12. Venus by Lady Gaga
  13. Everyone Choose Sides by The Wrens
  14. Point of View by Silverchair
  15. Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley
  16. The Battle of New Orleans by Johnny Horton
  17. Adventure by Russ
  18. Hell N Back by Bakar
  19. Back to Life by ZAYN
  20. Location by Playboy Carti

About the Contributor
Sarah Jeffers, Social Media Manager

Hello! I am part of the Class of '25 and I am so excited to be managing the social medias this year! I have always loved to keep my friends and family up to date on things (even if they haven’t wanted to hear it). I have also found a love for reading about what is happening all around us. I hope to be able to bring the stories and life of South High and beyond to an accessible outlet!
