Dear Colonel Chronicle,
I struggle managing my time. When I get home, I don’t want to do any of my school work, I’d rather laze around. Do you have any advice for me?
-Desperate Student
Dear Desperate Student,
I heard you need some advice on time management. If you struggle badly with keeping things in order and getting things done, one piece of advice is discussing what’s best for you to your peers. Communication is important and if you don’t explain how you’re struggling with someone you trust, you’re going to have a lot of weight on your shoulders. Too much pressure can be stressful as a teen. Talk about what is sitting on your heart and people will totally understand. Getting a community to help you and give you advice themselves will help guide you.
As your trusted confidants, the Colonel Chronicle would love to give you some advice. Now, if you’re like most of us, we don’t like planners. But if you have your phone 24\7 in your hand, you can add things you have to get done in your notes app, even in your calendar as well if you want a notification.
And lastly, tutoring. Some people can’t afford a tutor but there are definitely some free ones: even staying after school with your teacher could mean a lot.
Sometimes you’ve just gotta get out of your slump and lock in! Remember, Quarter 2 grades start next week!
